Nice concept

The idea is there, but just like some of the reviewers before me said: try to work this out! More Jingo's, Pingo's, even some Schwingo's perhaps. Add levels, challenge (fighting Jingo's), a visible timer, I dunno, just see where your mind (and flash abilities) can take this game to! You've got the skills, now put them to work.

don't you just love flashkit? anyway, congratulations on completing the tutorial. maybe some scripting credits would be appropriate. in your next version, at least try to add some screen boundaries so you can't fly off-screen. also a lot of other 'upgrades' are possible (more enemies, weapons, levels, bosses, power-ups, timer) but i think they're already mentioned by other reviewers. not a bad job though.

TenkiStudios responds:

Haha, yes great tut! :) and Thank you! This version was basically a test to see what people think so far. I'm planning on upgrades, levels, bosses, probably a fuel meter (instead of time) and more enemies.

i like

i'm not rating the trick, i'm rating the flash. and you did well a job on this one. the music is in place and the frowning fruit looks into place as well. okay, so the trick ain't exactly fresh, but you filled it in nicely.

okay tutorial, bad movie

The tutorial itself isn't too bad... Especially the movement tutorial is pretty okay. But, in my opinion, if you're making a flash tutorial in flash, at least make it more 'interactive.' This was about 95% text, and Flash is the perfect tool to visualize stuff like this and thereby make it more interesting to read. I lost interest on this tutorial halfway through the AI.

great game, lack of consistency

the presence of a custom-made mouse pointer at the beginning of the game was rather confusing, not knowing i was supposed to use the keyboard. turn the menu options into buttons and it'll be better already. also there was some kind of glitch in the game: it told me that it was a draw, and that i won 3 to 2. kinda odd... other than that, being a puzzle freak, i really like this game!

Wow!

They just keep on trying don't they?

needs some finetuning

You've got quite a good game on your hands, yet there are some things that still need taking care of. First of all, the top-left boundaries aren't there (you can practically fly off-screen as far as possible). The collision detection isn't the best I've seen either. And after 50,000 points, nothing happened. Another bad was the overlooping music, making it is cluster of mangled beats and sounds.

I know I might sound negative, but if you can manage to straighten things out, you've got a good space shooter on your hands.

Buggy!

The recorder option was great! Only thing that bugged me BIG time was the high E and F, which are in fact a high F and G, and the absense of all the half tones. Now I'll never be a Beethoven ;'-( LOL

pretty okay

in terms of flash techniques this isn't too impressive, but the illusions are good and the slideshow is entertaining. Of course there is a lot of room for improvement - there's another flash movie with optical illusions on Newgrounds, but it works with a bookshelf and has some secret rooms and stuff, which makes it all a bit more interesting.

Cretin responds:

Thanks!!,
For my first submitted movie this is a good turn out!!
Yes there are plans in the future for this interactive movie. When there are lots of illusions there will be a Index. And it will look cooler and easier to get round
